Advice for new home workers
The term ‘Ergonomics’ basically means fitting the job to the worker, not the worker to the job. At Back in Action UK, all our ergonomic consultants are chartered physiotherapists with postgraduate education in Ergonomics AND extensive experience in business and industry. This means that our ergonomic assessments can effectively reduce the risk of your employees developing a new or reoccurring musculoskeletal injury. Being proactive by stopping injuries from happening in the first place is the most effective approach to managing your employee’s health and wellbeing.
In doing so, both the employee and the employer benefit. The employee benefits from job retention and long term better health; the employer benefits from significant savings – reduced absenteeism AND presenteeism costs, increased employee productivity, and litigation reductions.
Our specialist workplace ergonomic services include: Work Station Assessments, Ergonomics Consultancy and Manual Handling.
For our Clients who have our in-house physiotherapy service, where possible we incorporate all our ergnonomic services into the on-site clinic time so that they are carried out at no additional cost as part of a proactive service. However, for those Clients who don’t have an on-site clinic need, then we can provide any of these services either an ad-hoc or on an ongoing basis as stand alone services.
