Coming out of plaster or have you had your knee scoped?

Post-operatively, you and your physiotherapist will work on a progressive programme of manual therapy and exercise to enable you to return to sport or normal activities as quickly and safely as possible. At Back in Action UK, physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation are key components to the effective management of your care.
You can even independently use our exercise studio and rehabilitation gym.
Post operative treatment for?
- restoring movement, muscle strength and function following a fracture
- post orthopaedic surgery such as:
- ACL reconstruction
- Knee arthroscopy i.e. cartilage & ligament repairs
- Joint replacements i.e. hip or knee
- Shoulder surgery – i.e. rotator cuff repairs
- Foot and ankle surgery – i.e. achilles tendon repairs
The better you are before surgery, the better you will be after surgery…
At Back in Action UK, we believe that it is important to prepare you physically for surgery (and mentally). If you have good muscle strength and an thorough understanding of what will be involved beforehand it is easier to regain movement and further improve strength afterwards and outcomes are improved.
Treatment will therefore consist of educating you about your up-coming surgery so you know what to expect.
If you want, we will also ensure you are treated by the same physiotherapist pre- and post operatively, implementing the rehabilitation protocols set by your surgeon.
