How does it work?
Acupuncture stimulates the brain to produce natural pain-relieving chemicals called endorphins. These assist the body to heal itself and gain pain relief. Scientific evidence is grwoing all the time for the use of acupunture for pain.
What conditions is it used for?
Our physiotherapists are in an effective and unique position of being able to combine acupuncture with other treatment methods such as exercise, manipulation and massage. Acupuncture is effective for any conditions requiring pain relief such as back and neck pain, or any in situations where the body needs help with healing, for example a ligament sprain or a torn muscle.
