Running Analysis GaitScan

Physiotherapy London - Running analysis & coaching
What our clinical specialist can see in simply observing your style on a treadmill is remarkable – whether you are a new to running,
a marathon regular or you do the ‘run-walk-power walk’ thing around your local park, there is usually something he can coach
you on to ensure your are more efficient and less prone to injury.

TOG GaitScan™ System

Right, that’s your style assessed – now, how well is your body absorbing the forces going through your body? We use the world renowned, most technologically advanced gait analysis system available – TOG GaitScan™ System. With 4096 sensors, it assesses just this and your biomechanics (fancy word for alignment) giving detailed 2D and 3D information about your feet hitting the ground. Using this data, we can determine if your biomechanics are a contributing factor to an existing or future injury.
Then?

If a problem is identified significant enough to be a contributing factor to current or future pain and injury, there are three courses of action that can be taken and you will be guided as to which one/s are most suitable to your problem. These are:

  • Changes in running technique
  • Exercise drills to stabilise feet, knees and hips
  • Orthotics (inserts) which provide physical support to correct biomechanical abnormalities. The TOG GaitScan™ System provides us with all the data to make you a custom-made pair which are far more advanced and effective than off-the-shelf versions. And they last for years and go oin any shoe!
